Kyparissia is a historical city, known from the old ages, placed at the same position and with the same name for 4.500 years back.
As Homer, the poet, mentions in the Odyssey, Kyparissia participated in the Trojan war with 11 ships, under the King of Pylos.
At the Old Town, which is built around the Castle, you can see different monuments from different historical periods.
At the renovated square, you can find nice bars and restaurants, which many people visit throughout the day and night.
Enjoy the sense of a magical atmosphere, especially during the evening and you will have an unforgettable stay.
You can also visit the Castle, where you will have a full view of the land and the sea as well. Around the Castle there are many narrow streets and beautiful neighborhoods. Also, you can see large residences (mansions) of different architectural rhythms, cobblestone narrow streets, old fountains, historical beautiful churches and all that with a great view to the Ionian open sea.
The highlight, though, is when the sun dives directly into the sea. The French Prime Minister Georges Clemenceau back in 1904 when he visited the town, he said it is “the most beautiful sunset of the world”.
In addition, there are beautiful, very long beaches for swimming and great countryside all around for you to discover.

The owners of the houses (Imirziadis family), who are all passionate with old towns and monuments in general, they have restored an old mansion of 1800 AC (which is now the Old Town Lodge) and also restored and function an old, historical watermill (monument of the pre-industrial era), about 1200 meters behind the Castle, at the Myloi village.
Visit the “Old Watermill” for a “walk” to the past and for unique taste experiences. You can go by car or even walk.
Choose one of the five beautiful and special houses, within the old town of Kyparissia, all of them with unique view to the castle, the old town and the Ionian Sea.
